Please join us for an Introduction to Sports Lighting presentation worth 1 AIA CEU!
This course provides an overview of the principles of sports lighting and in evaluating new and retrofit applications for a variety of sports and levels of play. The content focuses on previous HID lighting and how it compares to the latest LED and control technologies. Topics covered include general sports lighting terminology, the variety of sports lighting venues, lighting requirements, available resources and a what is required to create an accurate and concise lighting and structure plan.
Presenter will be Anne Kayla of Hubbell Lighting. Anne began her career in lighting as an Intern with Hubbell in 2012. She was quickly hired when management saw her potential and in just two years, while in engineering, Anne led the design and commercial launch of eight (8) new products. Hubbell made a strategic decision to put her on the front lines of engagement with customers, distributors and partners as an education specialist in its Lighting Solutions Center (“LSC”). She has taught more than 1,000 guests in just two years with the LSC. Anne has facilitated classes for all of Hubbell’s brands, including Progress Lighting. Anne also served as one of the lead design managers for the renovation of the 25,000 square foot LSC at Hubbell. She is currently a product manager for floodlighting, in-grade, and landscape products across all of Hubbell’s outdoor brands. She has had recent interviews published in tED and LD+A magazine, and was also recognized as one of tED magazine’s 2017 30 Under 35. Anne is a 2013 graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Industrial Engineering.
